World Cup Info: The XVIII FIFA World Cup™ will be held from 9th June to 9th July 2006 across 12 venues in Germany, with 32 nations competing in the month-long festival of sporting excellence.
The responsibility for staging the tournament rests with the 2006 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee Germany (the “Organising Committee”). World Cup Accommodation Services (WCAS), a Consortium led by the Organizing Committee, has been established to provide accommodation for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™.
Mascots:
This World Cup FIFA made two new mascots
for promoting there WC2006 Campaign. The Lion is named Goleo VI and
the soccer ball it has in its hand is Pille. Check out our World Cup

Qualified Teams: Here is a world map of the qualified World Cup 2006 Teams. Thirty-two teams from across the globe make up the field for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ finals. Six continents are represented and six past winners will take part, including hosts Germany, who head the 14-strong European contingent, and holders Brazil who lead the South American challenge.
